Procedure Cost Guides

Wisdom Teeth Removal Cost varies depending on the number of teeth removed, impaction depth, anaesthesia type, and whether the procedure is performed in-clinic or in hospital. Medicare rebates apply in most cases.

Dental Implants Cost depends on the number of implants, procedure type, and whether bone grafting or extractions are needed. Single tooth, full mouth, and All-on-4 are each priced separately.

All-on-4 Dental Implants Cost depends on the number of arches treated and complexity of extractions. Flexible finance options available.

Corrective Jaw Surgery Cost depends on whether single or double jaw surgery is required and whether genioplasty is combined. Medicare item numbers apply. Private health insurance may contribute significantly.

Zygomatic Dental Implants Higher cost than standard implants due to procedure complexity and hospital requirement. Written itemised quote provided at consultation.

Sleep Apnoea Surgery Cost depends on the procedure type. MMA jaw surgery involves hospital admission. Medicare and private health fund rebates apply.

Chin Surgery (Genioplasty) Cost depends on whether sliding genioplasty or chin implant is performed, and whether it is combined with jaw surgery.

TMJ Surgery Cost depends on the procedure. Arthrocentesis and arthroscopy are less complex than open joint or total joint replacement surgery.

Dental Bone Grafting Cost depends on graft size, location, material type, and whether performed in-clinic or in hospital.

How Billing Works

When you see Dr van Mourik for your initial consultation, a consultation fee is payable on the day. Our team will process your Medicare claim and your rebate will be deposited directly into your nominated bank account.

After your consultation, you will receive a detailed treatment plan and written quote including all relevant Medicare item numbers. You can submit this to your health fund and Medicare to confirm your entitlements before committing to treatment.

Our fees are set in line with the Australian Medical Association’s recommended schedule. In most cases there will be a gap payment between the surgical fee and what is covered by Medicare and your health fund.

If your procedure requires an anaesthetist, we will provide their contact details and fee schedule separately. Medicare and private health insurance usually cover part of the anaesthetist’s costs.
